Overview

The story is the court case of a black man wrongfully convicted of raping a white woman. Scout's father, the noble Atticus Finch, is charged with defending the accused man in court. In the bigoted times they live in, this leads to fear, strength, trepidation and wisdom in the Finch family. The section of the actual court case is brilliantly written and explores the concepts fully and with a high level of understanding.
